We have rented from Cynthia at her other amazing units in Poipu and Santa Cruz for many years, and very excited to hear she had taken over management in January 2022 of another oceanfront property! We were fortunate to visit in February during Humpback whale migration and the whale watching from the private lanai or the pool area at ocean’s edge was fantastic, with several breaching whales spotted (my first time seeing this, so I was giddy as a kid!). This unit has a spectacular view up the coast to Brennecke’s Beach (an easy 5-minute walk) to Poipu Beach Park just past that, and beyond. Gorgeous sunsets and even a beautiful ‘moonset’ shimmering across the ocean early one morning. A wall of windows in the living area and master bedroom fill the unit with light and ocean views. We appreciated the easy walk to the beach or to eat at Brennecke’s, the wildlife spotting (whales, turtles, monk seals, spinner dolphins, even flying fish), the beautifully-kept grounds with a variety of tropical plants, the large heated pool overlooking the ocean and sea turtles, and did I mention the view? A great home base for a Kauai vacation, and we’re looking forward to seeing how Cynthia transforms Unit 205A as she has her other vacation rentals — all places you hate to leave and can’t wait to get back to.
